What is botulinum toxin treatment?

When may results appear after botulinum toxin treatment?
As muscle bulk gradually decreases after injection, jawline changes may become noticeable around 3–4 weeks.
The amount depends on the treatment area, muscle activity, product, and your medical history. Botulinum toxin units are not interchangeable between products. Your clinician will explain the planned amount and why it is appropriate for you.
Is botulinum toxin treatment painful?
A brief stinging sensation is possible. Local or topical anesthesia may be offered according to individual needs.
How long may the effects last?
Effects from one session may last about 4 months, but duration varies with the product, area, dose, and individual.
