EYE FILLER DESIGN
Your eyes deserve
careful, delicate attention
Even small changes around the eyes can make a noticeable difference. Attention to detail matters. We began tear-trough filler treatment 10 years ago, when filler around the eyes was often discouraged. We carefully consider filler for the upper eyelids, aegyo-sal, eyelid creases, and outer corners, with attention to comfort, safety, and individual suitability.

Why consider filler for dark circles?
Plan Me offers filler as an option for dark circles, tailoring treatment to concerns that may not be addressed by fat repositioning or removal alone.
“Different types of dark circles call for different approaches.”
Plan Me tailors treatment to each under-eye concern.
Under-eye concerns can include darkness, folds caused by uneven loss of fat, and an overall reduction in under-eye volume.

Different approaches for different under-eye patterns

When the under-eye area looks dark
Darkness may come from vessels visible through thin skin or pigmentation at the skin surface. Filler may help the former to some extent, while it does not address surface pigmentation itself.
* A consultation helps identify a suitable approach for each person’s pattern and anatomy.

Crescent-shaped tear trough
When fat along a crescent-shaped under-eye line diminishes more than in nearby areas, a groove can form. It may be present from birth but often deepens with age. Dark-circle filler placed superficially may help replenish this hollow. When aging has caused substantial fat sagging and skin laxity with folds, filler may have limited benefit.
* A consultation helps identify a suitable approach for each person’s pattern and anatomy.

Reduced under-eye and front-cheek volume
As we age, volume may decrease throughout the under-eye and front-cheek areas. This overall loss can be difficult to address with superficial filler alone; filler may instead be placed deeply in the front cheek, near the cheekbone, to restore volume. A longer-lasting volumizing filler with larger particles than typical dark-circle filler may be considered. This concern calls for volume support rather than dark-circle filler alone. If darkness or a deep tear trough occurs together with reduced front-cheek volume, combining volumizing filler may provide a more balanced result. Volumizing filler is usually considered before or alongside dark-circle filler. In TYPE 03, filler is placed deeply to provide volume rather than between the skin and fat layer.
* A consultation helps identify a suitable approach for each person’s pattern and anatomy.

Careful selection of particles and injection tools

Conventional filler: larger particles
Conventional fillers have larger particles, which can cause nodules or unevenness when used under the eyes.

Eye-area filler: fine particles
The eye-area filler used at Plan Me has fine particles, helping support smooth placement even beneath thin under-eye skin.

Conventional injection needle
A conventional needle has a sharp tip that can damage blood vessels and cause bruising, swelling, or bleeding.

Blunt-tipped cannula
Unlike a conventional needle, a specially designed cannula is a long, hollow instrument with a blunt tip. It aims to reduce vessel injury, bruising, swelling, and bleeding. Plan Me uses only single-use cannulas to help reduce infection risk; these risks are not eliminated.

PATIENT QUESTIONS
Plan Me Clinic Dark-circle Filler FAQ
Frequently asked questions about under-eye hollows and dark-circle filler
Q1. How does dark-circle filler differ from regular under-eye filler?
Dark-circle filler is an under-eye filler treatment focused on reducing dark shadows caused by under-eye hollows. The two are not entirely different types of treatment. At Plan Me Clinic, we consider tear-trough depth, anterior cheek volume, and skin thickness together when planning the treatment area and amount of filler.
Q2. Can filler improve all cases of severe dark circles?
Not all dark circles improve with filler. Adding volume may help shadows caused by under-eye hollows, but results may be limited when pigmentation or visible blood vessels are the main cause. Plan Me Clinic assesses the cause of the dark circles before considering suitable options.
Q3. Which products does Plan Me Clinic use for dark-circle filler?
Plan Me Clinic uses genuine filler products suited to the eye area and plans the product and injection amount according to under-eye skin thickness and the degree of hollowing. Because under-eye skin is thin and prone to swelling, both the properties of the filler and the injection depth must be considered. You can confirm the actual product during your consultation.
Q4. How many cc are usually needed, and how long does dark-circle filler last?
The amount depends on the depth of the under-eye grooves, differences between the two sides, and whether any previous filler remains. We generally advise that the effect may last approximately one year or longer, but the actual duration varies with the product and individual tissue characteristics.
Q5. Can I have another treatment if I have had under-eye filler before?
Repeat treatment may be possible, but the amount of remaining filler should be assessed first. Some filler may remain even after a long time. Adding too much can cause under-eye puffiness or swelling. Depending on your condition, correction or removal of the existing filler may be considered first.
Q6. Does dark-circle filler have any side effects?
Bruising, swelling, asymmetry, unevenness, or a bluish tint may occur after treatment. Rare but serious complications, including vascular occlusion or damage to vision, can also occur. Severe pain, changes in skin color, or vision problems after treatment require immediate medical attention.
Post-treatment precautions
- Mild redness or injection marks may occur and usually settle within 1–2 days.
- Please avoid high-temperature environments such as saunas after treatment when possible.
- Please avoid vigorous massage, including deep facial massage, over the treated area.
- Please avoid alcohol and smoking for 2–3 days after treatment.

Aegyo-sal Filler
We assess eye shape and your smile to design the under-eye contour with an appropriate size and position.
